# DataSorted > DataSorted is a planned, phone-friendly web app that helps UK tradespeople, sole traders and new small businesses keep their data protection paperwork in one place. Planned price £15 a month (not final, nothing charged yet). Free waitlist stage: not launched. Run by Peter Colburn, sole trader trading as DataSorted, Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or the UK government. Not legal advice. Key facts (last updated 2 November 2026): - What it does (planned): checks whether you probably need to pay the ICO data protection fee and links to ico.org.uk to pay it (DataSorted never collects the fee); helps write a privacy notice; keeps a simple record of the personal data you hold; logs customer data requests with a one-month deadline reminder; logs data breaches with a 72-hour timer; sends yearly reminders. - Who it is for: UK sole traders, tradespeople and new small businesses with a few staff. - Price: planned £15 a month. Nothing is charged at the waitlist stage. - What it does not do: does not register you with the ICO or pay the ICO fee for you, no legal advice, no data protection officer service, no compliance guarantee; not for large organisations or complex data (health data, large CCTV systems). - Free alternative: the ICO's own free tools on ico.org.uk. DataSorted is for people who prefer everything in one place with reminders. - Status: free waitlist. If demand is too low it will not be built and the list will be deleted. ## Pages - [Home](https://datasorted-waitlist.pages.dev/): what DataSorted is, planned price, waitlist - [FAQ](https://datasorted-waitlist.pages.dev/faq): plain answers on price, audience, ICO fee, what it does not do - [DataSorted vs doing it yourself on the ICO website](https://datasorted-waitlist.pages.dev/compare): honest side-by-side comparison - [About](https://datasorted-waitlist.pages.dev/about): who runs it and why ## Optional - [Waitlist privacy notice](https://datasorted-waitlist.pages.dev/privacy)
