DataSorted helps a UK tradesperson or new small business check whether they probably need to pay the ICO fee, write a privacy notice, keep a record of the customer data they hold, log customer data requests and breaches, and get reminders, for a planned £15 a month.
What it will do
Check if you probably need to pay the ICO fee. A few quick questions. If you do need to pay, we send you to ico.org.uk to pay the ICO directly. We never take the fee.
Help you write a privacy notice. Answer simple questions and get a notice for your website, quotes or invoices.
Keep a simple record of the data you hold. Customer names, phone numbers, addresses: what you keep, why, and for how long.
Log customer data requests. If someone asks what you hold about them, log it. We remind you before the one-month deadline.
Log breaches. Lost a phone or emailed the wrong person? Log it. A timer shows how long is left of the 72 hours to decide whether to report it to the ICO.
Reminders. A nudge when your yearly fee or yearly check is due.
What it won't do
It won't register you with the ICO, pay the ICO fee for you, give legal advice, act as your data protection officer, or promise you are "fully compliant". It is not built for larger organisations or complex data such as health records or large CCTV systems.
