Waitlist privacy notice

Who we are

The waitlist is run by Peter Colburn, a sole trader trading as DataSorted, Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ. He is the "controller" of your data. We do not publish an email address yet; we will add one once the site has its own domain. Until then, to contact us, write to Peter Colburn at the address above (by post).

What we collect and why

• Waitlist: your email address, the date and time you joined, and the fact that you ticked the consent box. Your sign-up is saved and we use it only to email you once: when DataSorted opens, or when the test ends if we decide not to build it. Lawful basis: your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent and ask to be removed at any time by writing to Peter Colburn at the address above (by post).
• Spam protection: the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and IP address to tell people from bots. We do not store your IP address. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping spam out (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not ask for any other details.

Who we share it with

Only Cloudflare, which hosts this website, stores the waitlist and runs the spam check. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK; where it does, it uses the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it

Until DataSorted launches, or until we decide not to build it, and in any case no more than 12 months from when you joined. Then it is deleted.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics that track you.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent and be removed from the waitlist, at any time, by writing to Peter Colburn at the address above (by post). We reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
