DataSorted is a small, independent UK business run by Peter Colburn, a sole trader trading as DataSorted, from Bartle House, 9 Oxford Court, Manchester M2 3WQ. We are testing whether UK tradespeople and new small businesses want a simple, low-cost tool to keep their data protection paperwork in one place.
Why: most tradespeople hold customer names, phone numbers and addresses, so data protection law applies to them. The ICO's free guidance is good, but it is spread across many pages and templates. Paid tools we found start at around £29 a month and are built for offices rather than vans. We want to see whether a phone-first version at £15 a month is useful.
Where we are: free waitlist stage. Nothing is built for customers yet and we are not taking any money. If there isn't enough interest, we won't build it, we'll tell everyone on the waitlist, and we'll delete the list.
What we promise: plain English, prices shown upfront, links to the free ICO tools where they do the job, no tracking or advertising cookies, and no fake reviews.
